Thanks for your intensive tests and your very interesting report, which verifies, that your shutdown issue obviously is caused by the following combination:

1. OS: Windows 8.1
2. Storage driver: any Intel RST(e) RAID driver v12.x.x.xxxx except the generic iaStorAV.sys (v12.0.1.1018)
3. Drives connected to Intel SATA ports: 1 Intel RAID0 array + additional HDD or RAID0

Now it is Intel's business to find the reason for this shutdown bug and to solve it.
