Re: Windows 8.1 killed WiDi

My wireless adapter is Intel N-7260. Except for WiDi, things are looking better.  I found the cause of the incredibly slow boot/shutdown: I had defined an iSCSI drive for some VMs I wanted to work with.  Turns out, Win8.1 doesn't like that, or maybe it doesn't like that on a laptop.  I don't remember the problem when on Win8.  Either way, I can easily live with that minor restriction. I'm still having trouble with WiDi even after uninstalling/reinstalling all Intel and ASUS drivers. The strange thing is that I cannot install either the ASUS or Intel versions of the correct graphics drivers - not even the one that came with the laptop originally (but this could be b/c I have Win8.1).  Both ASUS and Intel's latest graphics driver doesn't install saying that the computer isn't up to snuff (paraphrasing).  Here's the strange thing: to get the good Intel drivers installed, I have to uninstall what is there then reboot and windows will pick the correct one for my chipset. It looks like I'm missing something but I can't find it.

I'm going to attach log files if I can. The bluetooth and WiFi direct adapters have a caution indicator and I can't seem to fix that.

I'm inserting snips from my Device Manager for more info.

I can't seem to upload the log files to this site.  Hopefully what I've given is helpful.  I appreciate any help you can give!!
