One question regarding ubilinux on the Edison: I installed per this thread and everything appeared to be fine. I was able to upload my sketch to the board, but that is when the problems started. I noticed that the board was not very responsive on the network, and when I connected a console USB cable, I found out that the sketch process was eating almost 100% CPU. The same sketch ran without issues under the factory firmware.
This led me to the realization that the first edisons apparently did not have the imbedded 100MHz MCU, and possibly ubilinux is not making use of the MCU. Would I be able to receive confirmation one way or another that the MCU is being utilized under Ubilinux?
I appreciate the work that went into getting a Debian image put together for this thing, but one think I noticed absent was a description of the process to restore the factory firmware onto the device should the Ubilinux image prove to be insufficient.
