Thanks for posting the location of Intel Matrix Storage Reference V1.0, it answered a question I was just about to post to the community. 
(I was going to ask "how can I re-instate a raid 1 array when I've previously reset the array back to non-raid because of a faulty disk". Yes, I now realise that I needn't have reset the array, but as it turned out, I was able to diagnose the flakey disk using a competitors SMART monitor (Acronis) only after resetting to non-raid, and switching back to AHCI, I think. I've since purchased a new disk, and was wondering how I'd install it, given the situation I've got myself into. But I think I'm OK now. )
