usiGreetings
I'm planning to build a new system from scratch
so I'm buying an i7-4790k to install it in a Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H motherboard.
I'm not planning to do any overclocking to the system.
And, specifically about the RAM I'd like to use them with XMP profile
getting the most performance but without sacrificing stability (that's super important to me).
So, what 2x4GB kit RAM to choose for performance and stability?
I'm between these two:
G.SKILL [RipjawsX] 8GB (2x4GB) F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM
SPD: 1600MHz | 1.5V
XMP: 9-11-10-28-2N | 2133MHz | 1.65 V
and
G.SKILL [RipjawsZ] 8GB (2x4GB) F3-2400C10D-8GZH
SPD: 1333MHz | 1.5V
XMP: 10-12-12-31-2N | 2400MHz | 1.65V
I prefer the 2nd one more.
Will the system be stable with that?
Have you tried using similar RAM with XMP profile enabled yourself?
