Re: ConnectAnyThing

Carlos,

The project I have in mind involves having a SLR or video camera mounted inside a process tool in the fab to detect and capture a transient event (such as resist dispense) -- for tool troubleshooting -- by triggering off of an input signal (such as solenoid input - which sends air to open dispense valve).  The Galileo board would be controlled using WIFI connection to smartphone (such as ConnectAnything) and in turn it would use it's USB port to control a camera.  This is a similar project:

Controlling a dSLR with a Smartphone using Intel Galileo - YouTube

In the video, you can see that the smartphone is controlling the USB port on Galileo and thereby getting camera to take pictures and send them back.  I am also wondering if it might be easier to do this all with a WIFI enabled camera.  That would circumvent the need for USB control.  A couple more questions for you in trying to customize my setup...

1) When I load the Blinkwithoutdelay example after installing ConnectAnything, the Galileo maintains a persistent sketch even after power down.  I cannot find the sketch anywhere on the SD card including Sketch folder, but I know it is there because light doesn't blink if I remove SD card but will do so with SD installed.  Any idea where I can find it?

2) After I loaded the above sketch thru Arduino, when I reboot board, the ConnectAnything WIFI is no longer visible and I cannot connect to it.  I presume that is because I am not getting the ServerSketch.ino running but rather BlinkwithoutDelay.  Correct?

3) Is there a way I can have both sketches loaded at the same time or merged?

Thanks,  Monroe
