Re: No HDMI video at start of boot process

Kevin - Thanks for the response. I reset the BIOS settings to default ( previously only change was to uncheck UEFI on the main page) and tested system with a different HDMI cable which I use on a daily basis with my SB computer. On the first try, the computer started then restarted and continued running (past the point when the O/S should have launched) with no video. I could hear the Intel inside tone but never heard WIN7 startup. I next used a different DVI cable and saw the Intel inside logo and then got a windows repair screen. Repair was made with system restore and WIN7 ran fine. I tried two more times with DVI and each time the startup and WIN7 launch was fine. I tried HDMI again and did not get video until the WIN7 launch. I ran it two more times with HDMI and it ran fine although no video until WIN startup.

I noted the other day when I ran the test for you with both Legacy and UEFI checked that one of the case fans (have two plus CPU fan) did not start until I flicked it with my finger. Today on the first HDMI test when the computer restarted, the same fan did not start until I flicked it.

I appreciate your help Kevin. Thank you. Peter
