You can be happy to know that most of the Intel people talking about Galileo have moved to this forum. You are not missing much. 
As far as I know, all the versions being sold by all the companies are the same.
There is a wide variety of places to buy Galileo, and a wide variety of prices. (this in itself could be an interesting study for an economics professor) I personally would go with Amazon, but that is only because I can get free shipping that way. (do they still do free super saver shipping on totals over $35??)
