Every product has it's strengths and weaknesses. What are some of Galileo's strengths?

In my opinion are some of the things it excels at:

  • Connecting to the Internet.
    • You can have a Galileo connected to the Internet with just an AC adapter and a Ethernet cable.
    • With a little bit more effort, you can have a WiFi connection.
  • Setting up Galileo as a hot spot
    • People can connect with their phone and control what is connected via a webpage.
  • Included SD card slot and Ethernet connector.
    • Easy to add a Wi-Fi card.
  • Customizable Linux
    • Right now the process to create your own customized Linux is difficult, but I believe it will get better.
  • Computing?
    • It seems like Galileo has a more powerful processor than other similar products.
      • I only say seems, because I don't know of anyone who has utilized that capability yet.
  • Arduino IDE
    • Granted, it is not 100% compatible, but it does have some basic functionality which allows makers to start controlling I/Os with minimal effort.
