Every product has it's strengths and weaknesses. What are some of Galileo's strengths?
In my opinion are some of the things it excels at:
- Connecting to the Internet.
- You can have a Galileo connected to the Internet with just an AC adapter and a Ethernet cable.
- With a little bit more effort, you can have a WiFi connection.
- Setting up Galileo as a hot spot
- People can connect with their phone and control what is connected via a webpage.
- Included SD card slot and Ethernet connector.
- Easy to add a Wi-Fi card.
- Customizable Linux
- Right now the process to create your own customized Linux is difficult, but I believe it will get better.
- Computing?
- It seems like Galileo has a more powerful processor than other similar products.
- I only say seems, because I don't know of anyone who has utilized that capability yet.
- It seems like Galileo has a more powerful processor than other similar products.
- Arduino IDE
- Granted, it is not 100% compatible, but it does have some basic functionality which allows makers to start controlling I/Os with minimal effort.
