I was having difficulty with the windows update, encountering an error 0xc8000247. reading through various pages on the internet the consensus seemed to be to update the drive for the Intel Rapid Storage technology. After some difficulty with the Intel driver update utility I managed to download manually the SetupRST.exe file. I run this program but at the end it said fatal error. on checking the Intel driver update utility again it said the latest drivers were installed.
I rebooted the machine, the update is now working correctly and updates installed, but now the Intel Matrix console says 'Missing plugin' the plugin failed to load because the driver is not installed correctly. But on checking the Device manager it says SATA/Raid controller working properly when i try to update [just in case] says it is up to date, don't know what to do now. So now I do not have RAID working.
Any help or advice much appreciated.
Thanks
Ron
