Hey guys,
I've been trying to update the driver software on my ASUS K55A notebook running Win8, but the system is insistent that all drivers are up to date, and just cancels setup without any override option.
The K55A comes with Intel HD 4000 hardware,
factory-equipped with Intel driver version 9.17.10.2828, (on an i7 core with Win8 x64,)
but when I try to select the update package from Intel (version 15.33.8.64.3345) in Device Manager, Win8 just refuses to do anything and restates that all drivers are up to date, despite the offered version ID obviously being a subsequent iteration of the same driver.
Is there some nifty trick for overriding this feature and madly updating the driver package anyway, or am I trapped in the dark ages at the behest of Win8?
