OK, I was also able to pin point the problem. First I reset the settings in the software as in the link (About/Reset settings). After I reset the adapter firmware. Follow the procedure: push the reset button with a pin and turn power button off and on keeping the pin pushed.
Let the adapter finish. Now when you connect it is asking for a 4 digit code. It can connect. It will ask to update the firmware. Decline this. Disconnect and reconnect all ok it remembers the code.
Now after I made sure it works, I updated the firmware. After that it will ask for the long code (12 digits), It connects but the code will not be remembered, so back to where we started.
Besides that, we already know the security settings are stored in the adapter.
Therefore, in this case we may want to know the adapter’s firmware version that is causing the issue. The more information we get the better.
